Moorland hawthorn trees are stunted and twisted into striking shapes by ferocious winds and weather. They are hosts to mosses and lichens which live symbiotically on the cracked bark of trunk and branches. They also bear startling orange/red haws in autumn which contrast with the fading, wind torn leaves. The circle of life repeats.
Medium: Oil based ink on Somerset 250g paper.
Woodcut: Unmounted, unframed.
Edition size 20
Print Size: 31cm x 19cm, plus generous border.
